A long, long time ago, in a galaxy right here, great nations once stood on earth. It was an era of grand cities, wondrous technologies, and marvelous art. A second Renaissance. But time must bring all things to an end. Like every great period of time, it was followed by a sharp decline. No one can say if it was the will of the gods, luck, or science, but the nations fell into chaos and ruin one by one, leaving behind empty husks. All that remained were the few small city-states that managed to remain stable in the declining years. Each kept to them self, hiding behind hills and in deserts. These tiny pockets of civilization were are that was left of the grandeur of the second Renaissance. Yet, somehow, they survived. They grew. Some flourished, others fell. Some leaders died, and others were born. Time marched on, the same as it ever does. But one thing remains clear. In this harsh world, only the strong survive.
Now, it is time for you to take up the reins, and lead your country to greatness. Lead them into salvation, or destruction, it is your choice. But will you be a compassionate, kindly ruler, or depraved dictator of the land? It is time to stand to the test. It is time for you to lead and rule!
